Job Summary

Homes First Society is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Enhanced Client Services Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing support services to individuals who are homeless or under-housed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a Unionized Workforce: Provide guidance and oversight to a team of unionized staff, ensuring that they are equipped to provide high-quality support services to our clients.
  • Case Management Expertise: Utilize your expertise to provide case management support to our Intensive Case Management Workers team, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive and effective support.
  • Partnership Development and System Navigation: Develop and maintain partnerships with external agencies and service systems, ensuring that our clients receive seamless and coordinated support.
  • Caseload Management and Supervision: Oversee the management of caseloads and provide supervision to case workers, ensuring that clients receive timely and effective support.
  • Service Resolution Lead: Lead the resolution of service-related issues, ensuring that clients receive prompt and effective support.
  • Quality Assurance and Reporting: Oversee the development and implementation of quality assurance processes, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards.
  • Program Development and Implementation: Develop and implement programs focused on optimizing and improving the performance and practices of our team.
  • Employee Performance Management: Manage employee performance, ensuring that staff are equipped to provide high-quality support services to our clients.
  • Administrative Duties: Perform administrative duties, including vacation planning, timekeeping, performance reviews, and other tasks as required.
  • Statistics and Evaluation: Develop and implement systems for collecting relevant statistics, ensuring that our services are evaluated and improved regularly.
  • Database Management: Manage our city-operated database and Homes First case management system, ensuring that data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Ensure effective communication and collaboration with other departments within Homes First Society and external agencies.
  • Shift Responsibilities and Duties: Prioritize and assign shift responsibilities and duties to team members, ensuring that clients receive timely and effective support.
  • Individualized Case Plans: Oversee the development of individualized case plans with designated participants, ensuring that clients achieve their goals.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure that all documentation is completed to agency standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Emergency On-Call: Be available to work occasional weekends and/or evenings, and carry a 24-hour emergency on-call phone.
  • Working Environment: Work in an environment where there may be smoke, as required.
Qualifications
  • Post-Secondary Education: Hold a post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent in education and experience.
  • Experience Working with Homeless Populations: Have at least 3 years' experience working with people who are homeless or under-housed, dealing with addictions and mental illness.
  • Supervisory Experience: Have at least 1 year's experience supervising unionized staff.
  • Case Management and Assessment: Have demonstrated experience performing assessment, advocacy, referral, and case management functions, and be able to effectively prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Be able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, with excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of Laws and Guidelines: Have knowledge of relevant laws, standards, and guidelines, including the Ontario Landlord and Tenant Act and rental legislation in Ontario.
  • Community Resources: Have knowledge of resources and services available in the community.
  • Interpersonal and Conflict Resolution Skills: Have excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and organization skills.
  • Certifications and Training: Hold certificates in First Aid, CPR, Crisis Prevention and Intervention, and/or a Certificate of Completion of Homelessness Learning Hub's Harm Reduction for the Homeless Sector, as an asset.
