Job Overview:

As a key member of our security team, you will oversee the daily operations of security personnel, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards. Your leadership will foster a positive work environment while maintaining high levels of security and safety.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate Incident Reports to verify compliance with site protocols.
  • Support the Site Supervisor in implementing training programs for staff.
  • Engage in regular discussions with clients and the Site Supervisor to address any concerns.
  • Inspire and guide front-line staff in their daily responsibilities, promoting a strong team morale.
  • Oversee the security team, providing assistance and guidance in line with company policies.
  • Assess the performance of security personnel, documenting any issues and providing constructive feedback to the Site Supervisor.
  • Conduct routine patrols throughout the premises to ensure safety.
  • Perform monthly audits of the CCTV room and maintain accurate records.
  • Be available for after-hours on-call duties on a rotational basis.
  • Manage the inventory of site uniforms and ensure staff compliance with uniform standards.
  • Report operational challenges directly to the Site Supervisor.
  • Coordinate staff schedules and address payroll discrepancies as necessary.
  • Handle clerical tasks such as filing and memo preparation as required.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Alberta Security License or the ability to obtain one.
  • Must be bondable.
  • A minimum of three years of security experience, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity, or a relevant post-secondary diploma/certificate.
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record and access to a vehicle.
  • Proven ability to lead, organize, delegate, and resolve complex issues.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Physical capability to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.
  • Basic computer skills, including report writing and note-taking.
  • First Aid/AED/CPR, NVCI, and PPCT training are considered assets, though training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED.
