Position Overview:

The role involves the accurate reading of utility meters for both residential and commercial clients. This is crucial for ensuring correct consumption tracking and billing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read gas meters and document the volume utilized by consumers.
  • Conduct visual inspections of meters to evaluate their condition and functionality, noting any visible defects.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Have access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to walk up to 10-15 miles daily while ensuring accurate meter readings.
  • Full vaccination against Covid-19 is required unless exempt for medical reasons.

Working Conditions:

  • Daytime shifts in an outdoor environment.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Safety equipment provided, including boots, vests, and glasses.
  • Paid training, transitioning to a piecework compensation model that allows for earnings exceeding $30 per hour.
