We are seeking a highly skilled Loss Prevention Officer to join our team at London Drugs Limited. As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will play a critical role in protecting our assets and preventing losses.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Surveillance and Investigations: Conduct surveillance and investigations at our store locations to identify and prevent losses.
- Identify Areas of Loss: Identify areas of loss and work with the team to develop and implement shrink reduction plans.
- Detection and Apprehension: Detect and apprehend individuals committing criminal offenses against the company.
- Securing Evidence: Secure evidence, write reports, and prepare documents for court testimony purposes.
- Special Assignments: Participate in special assignments, including lock repair, key control, staff awareness, and orientation.
- Maintain Security: Maintain the overall security of our locations.
- Training and Development: We have an extensive in-house training program, and we are eager to develop our people. Candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Emergency Response: Demonstrated ability to stay calm and respond with good judgment in emergency situations.
- Protecting People and Property: A commitment and history of protecting people and property in a safe and legal manner.
- Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to work under strict confidentiality.
- High Ethical Standards: High ethical standards and a commitment to personal and professional integrity.
- Communication Skills: Good command of the English language, both written and verbal, required for report writing and court testimony.
- Driver's License: A valid Class 5 driver's license and own vehicle.
- Availability: Availability and willingness to work at all locations and surrounding areas.
- Previous Experience: Previous Loss Prevention experience or other related experience within the Criminal Justice system would be an asset.
- Security-Related Education: Previous security-related education, professional accreditation, first aid, and first responder training is an asset.
- Use of Force Training: Use of force and restraining device training is an asset.
- Security Worker License: Provincial security worker license, or the ability to obtain one before commencing work.
