What does the role entail?
As an Insurance Operations Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to accurately handle renewals, endorsements, cancellations, new business, and invoicing. This role requires close collaboration with various offices, external vendors, and internal teams to ensure that all processes are executed efficiently and accurately. You will also assist with system reporting, invoicing, and the management of renewal downloads. The Insurance Operations Specialist will report directly to the Assistant Manager of Insurance Solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing renewals and policy modifications with precision. Inputting relevant policy and client information into the database. Adjusting pre-authorized payment plans for clients. Executing policy cancellations and processing cheque requests. Handling policy lapse and renewal instructions. Performing clerical and general insurance office tasks. Ensuring that all departmental work adheres to standards of presentation, quality, and timeliness. Upholding established procedures regarding confidentiality, cash transactions, and safety requirements. Providing prompt and expert support to clients as needed. Delivering friendly and courteous service while addressing inquiries and concerns effectively. Undertaking additional insurance-related duties as assigned. Actively representing the organization positively within the community.What qualifications are we seeking?
Secondary school diploma. Level 2 licensing is preferred. Relevant licensing in accordance with the position. Familiarity with personal lines insurance. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Understanding of insurance systems, agency operations, and workflows. Ability to provide effective solutions for complex challenges.Ideally, you are a flexible and collaborative team player who demonstrates:
