Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at Canadian Addiction Treatment Centres. As a Medical Policy Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients with opiate dependency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver harm reduction and supportive treatment modalities for patients with opiate dependency
  • Dispense and administer medications, including methadone, suboxone, narcotics, and injections, as delegated by a licensed Physician
  • Perform ECGs, venipuncture, urine drug screening supervision and testing, and other vitals
  • Communicate with Physicians regarding patient needs, changes in status, and emergency situations
  • Schedule, enter information, and assess data, as well as manage and update patient information within Electronic Medical Records
Requirements
  • Diploma in Registered Practical Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Previous experience in addiction treatment and/or a similar field
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Strong commitment to working with individuals living with addiction and mental health
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft platform, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
