Position Overview: Wills and Trusts Associate

Kronis, Rotsztain, Margles, Cappel LLP (KRMC) is a well-established, mid-sized law firm located in Toronto, providing a wide array of legal services to both businesses and individuals. We are in search of a dedicated Wills and Trusts Associate to enhance our existing practice in the Wills and Estates sector. The successful candidate will be situated in a vibrant business district, ensuring accessibility for our clients. The ideal applicant will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong understanding of business dynamics, essential for maintaining our extensive Wills and Estates clientele while also pursuing new client opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload involving the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney.
  • Advise executors on all facets of Estate administration, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Prepare and submit applications for certificates of appointment of estate trustee.
  • Handle all Estate-related matters from inception to resolution.
  • Draft primary and secondary Wills, as well as various trust documents, including Henson trusts and spousal trusts.

The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of relevant experience, showcasing a solid track record in the field. Strong writing abilities and a commitment to client service are essential. The Associate will independently manage their own files and collaborate with our real estate and corporate counsel to deliver a comprehensive Wills and Estates service.
