Job Title: Social Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at Halton Healthcare Services. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing mental health services to individuals in an outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive integrated assessment and treatment to clients with mild to moderate symptoms of depression, anxiety, and high stress.
  • Facilitate evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness-based groups.
  • Utilize virtual care and progressive use of technology to provide care.
  • Communicate with referring primary care physicians as part of a shared care model.
  • Develop and implement solution-focused interventions within a group-based setting.
Requirements:
  • Masters Degree in Social Work required.
  • A member in good standing with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
  • Minimum of 5 years experience providing evidence-based psychotherapy.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate psychotherapy groups.
  • Experience in Solution Focused Therapy.
  • Demonstrated Cognitive Behavior Therapy training and skills.
  • Demonstrated Mindfulness training and skills.
  • Demonstrated Dialectic Behavioural Therapy informed practice training and skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Trauma Informed Practice.
  • Demonstrated skills engaging families.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with community resources and relevant consent and capacity legislation.
