CIMA Canada Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director Test Engineering to join our team. As a key member of our Industrial sector, you will be responsible for leading mechanical projects and overseeing a team of approximately 15 people.
With several years of experience in the industrial environment, you will assume a leadership position with respect to achieving business objectives. Your expertise will be instrumental in mobilizing teams to execute and deliver large-scale multidisciplinary projects in mining and metals, paper and pulp, and other heavy industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team in executing multiple mandates or large-scale projects
- Act as technical reference in the industrial and automation sector and find solutions for more complex engineering challenges
- Act as liaison with clients to track project progress, ensuring that their opinions and requests are taken into consideration
- Ensure continuous monitoring of employees working on clients' premises, with respect to compliance with health and safety standards
- Provide timely support in the review and accuracy of drawings and specifications, testing plans and engineering designs
- Work closely with clients to resolve all project-related issues, including technical requests, completion, and budget requests
- Perform contractual follow-ups, write amendments, and monitor the financial progress of contracts
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or considerable experience in automation
- Significant experience in a heavy industrial environment
- Proficiency in financial concepts and budget monitoring
- Proven project management skills
