About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Forbes Pharmacy Sooke Inc. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compound and Package Medications: Assist in the preparation and packaging of pharmaceutical products, including oral solutions, ointments, and creams.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of medications and prescription products, and ensure that inventory levels are adequate to meet customer demand.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform general clerical duties, including data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks as required.
  • Supply Management: Order and maintain supplies of medications, equipment, and other pharmacy-related materials.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office, with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a pharmacy or related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail.
