Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Five-Axis CNC Machinist to join our team at Ben Machine Products. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating 5-axis CNC vertical milling machines, setting up and operating the machines, and ensuring the highest level of quality and precision in your work.
Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up and operate 5-axis CNC vertical milling machines to produce precision parts.
- Tooling and Fixtures: Use appropriate tools, fixtures, and indicators to set up the machine and ensure accurate part production.
- Program Management: Load, unload, change, and modify programs as required to meet production demands.
- Tool Maintenance: Change and set cutting tools, modify and grind tools as needed to maintain optimal performance.
- Quality Control: Measure and inspect parts to ensure dimensions are within tolerance and meet quality standards.
- Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints to understand part specifications and production requirements.
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing: Understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles to ensure accurate part production.
Requirements
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years' experience in CNC machining is required.
- Certification: A certificate of qualification, college degree, or other relevant training in CNC machining is an asset.
- Machine Experience: Fanuc or Haas experience is a must, with familiarity with Mastercam preferred.
- Aerospace Experience: Previous aerospace experience is preferred, as is previous jobbing shop experience.
