About the Role

Aura Kitchens and Cabinetry Inc. is seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of craftsmanship in our custom cabinetry and woodworking projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Layout: Prepare detailed layouts and designs for building projects, adhering to building codes and regulations.
  • Material Preparation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
  • Construction and Installation: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Project Management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Quality Control: Conduct site surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Training and Development: Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on best practices and techniques.
  • Estimation and Budgeting: Estimate costs and materials required for projects, ensuring accurate budgeting and forecasting.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing structures, including residences and wooden structures in various establishments.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Permanent employment with a standard 32-40 hour workweek.
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
