Fitness Instructor

Join the City of Ottawa's Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services department as a Fitness Instructor. We are seeking a qualified individual to provide instruction on a wide variety of group fitness and fitness-related classes for identified programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide instruction on group fitness and fitness-related classes for identified programs
- Ensure classes are conducted in accordance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures, rules and regulations
- Develop and maintain a fun and safe environment for participants
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver fitness programs
- Completion of Grade 10 and Current Fitness Certification from a recognized fitness certification organization
- Minimum of 6 months of experience or equivalent apprenticeship
- Fitness Instructor certificate (e.g., canfitpro, YM-YWCA, Ontario Fitness Council or other recognized certification)
- Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates
- AODA Customer Service/IASR Training
- Competitive hourly rate
