Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Web Developer to join our team at TV2 Consulting. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our web applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Web Development: Design and develop scalable, efficient, and robust web applications using a range of programming languages and frameworks.
  • Front End Development: Develop user-friendly and visually appealing front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue.
  • Back End Development: Develop server-side logic, database integration, and API connectivity using languages like Python, Java, and frameworks like Django, Flask, or Spring.
  • Database Management: Design and implement database schemas, ensure data integrity, and optimize database performance using SQL or NoSQL databases.
  • Web Security: Implement secure coding practices, conduct regular security audits, and ensure compliance with web accessibility standards like WCAG.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure seamless project delivery.

Requirements

  • Advanced Web Development Skills: Possess a deep understanding of web development principles, including front-end and back-end best practices.
  • Programming Languages: Proficient in multiple programming languages, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and languages like Python, Java, and C#.
  • Frameworks and Libraries: Familiarity with modern frameworks like Angular, React, Vue, and libraries like jQuery, Lodash, or Moment.js.
  • Database Management: Experience with database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
  • Web Security: Knowledge of secure coding practices, web application firewalls, and compliance with web accessibility standards like WCAG.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

What We Offer

  • Temporary Contractor Position: A 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.
  • Hourly Contract Rate: TBD depending on experience.
  • Work Hours: Monday to Friday, normal 37.5 hours per week, working onsite up to 5 days a week.
  • Location: Onsite in Ottawa.
