Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

  1. Deliver outstanding customer service, prioritizing their needs and expectations.
  2. Respond promptly to customer inquiries, providing clear and concise information.
  3. Understand customer requirements and offer tailored solutions.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the customer experience.
  5. Address customer concerns and issues in a professional and timely manner.
  6. Manage challenging situations with poise and diplomacy.
  7. Ensure effective communication with customers throughout the repair or maintenance process.

Operations

  1. Prepare and review repair orders with customers, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  2. Estimate costs and times for services and repairs, ensuring final invoices match initial estimates and vehicles are delivered on schedule.
  3. Act as a liaison between customers and technicians, monitoring work order progress.
  4. Schedule service and repair appointments, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  5. Operate computerized work order systems, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  6. Engage in ongoing learning and coaching to enhance skills and knowledge.
  7. Identify opportunities to improve sales and profitability, sharing insights with the Service Manager.
  8. Adhere to company, store, and department policies, as well as health and safety regulations.
  9. Perform additional tasks as required.

Requirements

  1. Knowledge of market trends in the automotive service industry.
  2. Understanding of mechanical components and systems in automobiles.
  3. Ability to work effectively with auto parts ordering systems and computerized work order systems.
  4. Basic math and keyboarding skills.
  5. Working knowledge of CoStar is an asset.
  6. Experience in a similar role, preferably in a Canadian Tire Auto Service Centre, is considered an asset.
  7. Valid driver's license for the province of employment.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $17.00-$23.00 per hour
