About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team at Rebel Custom Homes Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of our custom homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Construction
    • Develop and implement detailed construction plans and schedules to meet project deadlines.
    • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and identify potential issues.
  • Construction
    • Supervise and coordinate the work of other construction team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to construct and install building components.
    • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure structural integrity.
    • Fabricate and install cabinets, countertops, and other custom features to meet client specifications.
  • Quality Control
    • Inspect and test construction work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.
    • Identify and report any defects or issues to the project manager.
  • Communication
    • Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other team members to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and progress.
    • Provide regular updates on project status and any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Skills
    • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
    • Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods.
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in a fast-paced construction environment. The successful candidate will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
