Job Title: Structural Engineering Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineering Technician to join our team at Tech-Wood Building Components Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of engineering specifications and drawings, conducting field surveys and inspections, and preparing construction specifications and costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of engineering specifications and drawings
  • Conduct field surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with engineering specifications
  • Prepare construction specifications and costs
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop and implement project schedules
  • Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, technical investigations, and testing of construction materials
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field
  • Strong understanding of building codes and regulations
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
