About the Role

Morrison Hershfield is a leading consulting engineering and management firm that delivers innovative solutions for complex infrastructure projects. We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Structural Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and delivery of high-profile transportation infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of transportation structures, including bridges, culverts, and retaining walls
  • Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to gather pre-design information and monitor construction progress
  • Analyze and evaluate design solutions to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Participate in business development activities to secure new projects and grow the business
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with a strong interest in bridge engineering
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license and 10+ years of experience in leading transportation infrastructure projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with SAP2000, CSiBridge, and SFRAME
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites
