Job Summary

Morrison Hershfield is a leading consulting engineering and management firm seeking a highly skilled Senior Transportation Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Horizontal Infrastructure Business Unit, you will be responsible for leading large-scale transportation structures projects, collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and delivering exceptional technical work and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead transportation structures projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement project plans, designs, and solutions.
  • Analyze and evaluate design options for transportation structures, including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and foundations.
  • Provide technical guidance and direction to project team members and support staff.
  • Conduct business development activities to secure new projects and clients.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, tender documents, and cost estimates.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff in project work and technical development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Applied Science or Bachelor of Engineering in Civil/Structural Engineering, with a strong interest and experience in bridge engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation and 10+ years of experience in leading large transportation structures projects.
  • Ability to work in both office and field environments, with a valid driver's license.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with SAP2000, CSiBridge, and SFRAME.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
