Aramark Canada is currently seeking motivated individuals who are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service to join our Food Services team in a residence dining environment.
The specific duties and responsibilities associated with this role may differ by location based on client needs and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that high-quality, courteous service is provided to all patrons.
- Inform customers about menu selections, daily specials, and dining hall activities.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work area at all times.
- Utilize various kitchen tools and equipment, including knives, pots, pans, and appliances.
- Organize the workspace and manage production schedules effectively.
- Properly store food items and keep track of inventory levels.
- Follow recipes with attention to portion control, presentation, and the use of convenience foods.
- Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and management.
- Prepare a variety of food items, including herbs, spices, produce, and alternative proteins.
- Make condiments, preserves, and dressings as needed.
- Restock and arrange items on shelves, including cereal, bread, and salad bars.
- May be responsible for washing and sanitizing dishes and utensils.
- Document temperatures, label products according to FIFO standards, and maintain waste and cleaning logs.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- May perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food service industry is considered an asset.
- Strong customer service abilities.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
