Job Summary:

The Buffet Attendant plays a vital role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests. As a key member of our culinary team, you will take pride in maintaining the highest standards of food presentation, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all who visit our buffet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure efficient operation of all culinary operations, providing exceptional service to our guests.
  • Develop and cultivate strong working relationships with all stakeholders, including guests, ownership, employees, vendors, and regulators.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed by management.

Requirements:

  • Embracing the Casino Nova Scotia culture and philosophy, with a playful, infectious, and "all about the guest" attitude.
  • Basic Food Safety Certificate (for external candidates, obtain within the first 90 days on the job at own expense).
  • Food and Beverage experience is an asset.
  • Ability to work various shifts, including nights, back shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent customer service skills with guests and co-workers.
  • Ability to lift 25kg.

Work Environment Considerations:

Regular kitchen environment, with exposure to heat, cold, steam, noise, odors, and physical demands such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stretching, and bending.
