About the Role

PCL Construction is seeking an Estimating Student to join our team in the BC Region district, within our Canadian Buildings Division. As an Estimating Student, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment that promotes personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of estimates and bid documents
  • Review and analyze quantity survey assignments
  • Perform quantity surveys and provide quantities to the purchasing department
  • Develop relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Assist in the preparation of bid documents and bid day assignments
  • Visit job sites periodically to observe and learn
Requirements
  • Strong desire to work in a construction environment
  • Prior field construction experience is an asset
  • Proficiency in computer software programs, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting
