Build a Career in Construction Estimating
PCL Construction is seeking an Estimating Student to join our team in the BC Region. As an Estimating Student, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment that promotes personal and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Review and utilize PCL's estimating manuals, systems, and forms to perform quantity surveys and provide quantities of major purchase items to the purchasing department.
- Work closely with lead estimators and chief estimators to review quantity survey assignments and transfer quantities as needed.
- Develop relationships with subcontractors and perform general subtrade solicitation duties.
- Participate in bid document control and perform bid day assignments.
- Visit job sites periodically to gain hands-on experience.
Qualifications
- A strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in various computer software programs, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting.
