About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Management Leader to join our team at Capital One Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading a team that partners with various groups across the company to design, build, manage, and enhance our Data Retention and Protection processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Leadership: Inspire and empower a small team of associates, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous growth, and excellence in process performance.
  2. Process Design and Implementation: Design, develop, and implement processes and controls that govern Canada's compliance to internal policies and procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements related to sensitive data handling.
  3. Process Improvement: Regularly evaluate the efficiency of existing data management procedures and propose improvements to achieve better business outcomes and enhance user experience.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Lead stakeholder engagement efforts and utilize exceptional communication, teamwork, and influence skills to foster team alignment and drive process success.
  5. Risk Governance: Conduct and support regular risk governance activities, including process-level risk assessments, control assessments, and testing, issue and event management, and audits.
  6. Business Continuity Planning: Manage Business Continuity Planning for applicable processes.
  7. Strategic Planning: Demonstrate the ability to set a vision, chart a path, and execute with high impact.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree.
  2. Experience: At least 5 years of experience working in process management, risk management, or data roles.
  3. Leadership Experience: At least 2 years of experience leading a team.
  4. Preferred Qualifications: At least 3 years of experience designing, managing, and improving processes; experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies; and familiarity with cloud-based data environments.
