Addiction Nurse Specialist

About the Role:
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Addiction Nurse to join our team in Sechelt, BC. As an Addiction Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care and supportive counseling to clients who are in the process of detoxification, stabilization, and/or transitioning into other residential addiction services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides direct nursing care and supportive counseling to clients with mental health and addiction issues.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to achieve excellence in client-centred care and education.
- Develops and implements individualized treatment plans to address clients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Provides education and support to clients and their families on addiction and mental health issues.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of addiction services.
Requirements:
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Two (2) years' recent, related experience providing treatment services to individuals with mental health and/or addiction issues.
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
