Job Title: Senior Real Estate Manager

At VetStrategy, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Real Estate Manager to lead our Real Estate and Leasing department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing our national Real Estate portfolio, including leasehold and freehold properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lease Administration: Oversee lease renewals, lease negotiations, and lease-related market trends, analysis, and assessments.
  • Real Estate Portfolio Management: Manage VetStrategy's lease administration portfolio, including rent roll, property tax, rent, and related invoicing and lease-related documentation.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage direct reports within the Real Estate team.
  • Market Analysis: Identify new target markets for clinics through greenfield sites, acquisitions, and relocations.
  • Documentation: Draft, review, and negotiate real estate and lease-related documentation.
  • Dispositions and Acquisitions: Support with the disposition and acquisition of VetStrategy properties.
  • Lease Management Software: Manage and oversee the Company's lease management software for VetStrategy.
  • Property Tax and Rent Reconciliations: Oversee and manage all Real Estate-related property tax, rent reconciliations, rent roll, Landlord invoice approvals, and lease audits for VetStrategy's portfolio.
  • Capital Projects: Work in partnership with the Construction and Facilities teams to ensure coordination and completion of Capital Projects.
  • Communication: Main point of contact for internal and external partners regarding all Real Estate-related matters and queries.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in Medical/Commercial and Retail Real Estate.
  • Lease Accounting and Financial Acumen: Strong lease accounting and financial acumen.
  • Team Management: History of managing and collaborating with high-performing teams.
  • Organization and Communication: High organization skills with the ability to manage several different initiatives and proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
  • Language: Fluency in French (oral and written) would be considered an asset.
