Parks Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Parks Operations Supervisor to join our team at the City of Toronto. As a key member of our Parks and Recreation department, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to our Parks Operations and Technical Services teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement and ensure compliance with Council Directives, City policies, and maintenance standards.
- Assess current practices and recommend improvements to operational efficiencies.
- Supervise and motivate staff, ensuring effective teamwork and high standards of work quality.
- Recommend scheduling and monitor performance and attendance management.
- Coordinate payroll and district work selection.
- Liaise with WSIB Consultants and manage workplace injuries.
- Provide support to supervisors in budget development and variance reporting.
- Participate in policy review and formulation.
- Ensure quality customer service and investigate internal/external complaints.
- Liaise with City officials and the public.
- Management experience in operational units.
- Considerable experience in Parks Operations and Technical Services.
- Supervisory experience in operations or technical services environments.
- Ability to initiate and implement procedures to increase operational efficiency.
- Highly developed problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Supervisory and management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
- Knowledge of corporate computer software programs.
- Possession of a valid Ontario Class "G" Driver's License.
