Hematology Oncology Therapeutic Consultant

Territory Coverage: This position encompasses the Greater Toronto Area extending to Barrie, with potential travel to northern regions.
ROLE OBJECTIVE:
- Facilitate access to hematology oncology therapies by comprehensively understanding the hematology oncology environment and the specific dynamics of hospitals and cancer centers.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and medical facilities to support patients throughout their oncology treatment pathways.
- Strive for optimal patient outcomes by enhancing the utilization of hematology oncology therapies in alignment with GSK's core values and mission to combat hematological malignancies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Formulate and implement a strategic sales plan aimed at maximizing growth within the territory, establishing both short and long-term objectives for hematology oncology stakeholders.
- Exhibit a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, including key decision-makers in hospitals and oncology settings, to deliver value effectively.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of GSK's product offerings, strategies, and positioning within the hematology oncology sector.
- Maintain awareness of competitor products and strategies, understanding how healthcare professionals perceive the overall market landscape.
- Engage healthcare professionals in meaningful scientific discussions that challenge existing norms and elevate the importance of timely prescriptions for GSK products.
- Build strong internal relationships and collaborate fearlessly with cross-functional teams to generate impactful ideas that enhance patient outcomes.
- Embrace accountability and make informed decisions that consider the interests of all stakeholders.
- Adopt a holistic perspective when making trade-off decisions, seeking the best opportunities to support healthcare professionals nationwide.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of a Bachelor's degree; an advanced scientific degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of recent experience in hematology oncology is highly desirable, particularly in markets with significant academic centers.
- Proven success in launching products in competitive markets is essential if hematology oncology expertise is lacking.
- Self-motivated individual dedicated to making a positive impact on the healthcare system and oncology patients.
- Persuasive communicator willing to constructively challenge the status quo for patient benefit.
- Innovative, adaptable, and collaborative team player with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with computer technology and office applications, with a willingness to learn new software.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License.
- Willingness to travel within the designated territory and domestically as necessary.
