Hematology Oncology Therapeutic Consultant

Territory Coverage: This position encompasses the Greater Toronto Area extending to Barrie, with potential travel to northern regions.
ROLE OBJECTIVE:
- Facilitate access to hematology oncology treatments by comprehensively understanding the hematology oncology landscape and the intricacies of hospitals and cancer centers.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and hospital systems to assist hematology oncology patients throughout their treatment process.
- Advocate for patients by maximizing the utilization of hematology oncology treatments in alignment with GSK's core values and mission, striving to advance the fight against hematological malignancies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Formulate and implement a strategic sales plan aimed at optimizing territory growth, establishing both short-term and long-term objectives for hematology oncology clients, allied health professionals, and healthcare facilities to meet or exceed targets.
- Exhibit a deep understanding of clients, hospitals, and the provincial oncology environment, identifying effective strategies to deliver value to key decision-makers.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of GSK's products, strategies, positioning, and plans of action within the hematology oncology sector.
- Maintain awareness of competitor companies, their products, and positioning, as well as how healthcare professionals perceive the overall landscape in hematology oncology.
- Engage healthcare professionals in scientific discussions that constructively challenge the status quo, ensuring GSK products are prescribed appropriately to the right patients at the right time.
- Foster strong internal relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to generate impactful ideas that enhance patient outcomes.
- Embrace accountability and empowerment, making prompt decisions that consider all key stakeholders.
- Adopt a holistic perspective when making trade-off decisions, seeking the best opportunities to support healthcare professionals nationwide.
- Contribute positively to a results-driven work environment by bringing enthusiasm and commitment to achieving objectives.

- Represent GSK with respect, transparency, and integrity, prioritizing patient welfare and safeguarding the company's reputation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A completed Bachelor's degree; an advanced scientific degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of significant and recent experience in hematology oncology is preferred, particularly in markets with key academic centers.
- In the absence of current hematology oncology expertise, proven success in launching a product in a competitive market is essential.
- A self-motivated individual driven by the desire to make a lasting positive impact on the healthcare system and hematology oncology patients.
- A persuasive communicator willing to constructively challenge established beliefs for the benefit of patients, both internally and externally.
- An innovative, agile collaborator with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, alongside a natural curiosity and active listening abilities.
- Experience in managing multiple tasks, prioritizing effectively, and delivering results within required timelines.
- Proficient in computer technology and office applications, with the ability to learn new programs quickly.
- A valid Driver's License is required.
- Willingness to travel within the territory and domestically as necessary.
