Job Title: Boxing Instructor
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Boxing Instructor to join our team at Equinox in Vancouver. As a Boxing Instructor, you will be responsible for leading high-energy boxing classes, creating engaging workout experiences, and providing exceptional customer service to our members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver dynamic boxing classes that cater to diverse fitness levels and goals.
- Develop and maintain a strong client base through effective communication, personalized attention, and exceptional service.
- Meet and exceed sales targets for boxing sessions and packages.
- Coordinate and schedule client sessions, maintain accurate records, and ensure seamless communication with team members and management.
- Plan and execute skills training plans with clients, focusing on technique, safety, and progress.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for all classes, including setup and teardown of equipment.
- Communicate effectively with members, team members, and management through timely and professional interactions.
- Participate in team meetings and coaching development workshops to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry trends.
Requirements:
- Preferred: Group Fitness or Personal Training Certification, with experience in boxing or personal training.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Honesty, personal integrity, and a passion for the fitness industry.
- Strong time management, organizational, and follow-up skills.
- Reliability, professionalism, computer literacy, energy, and friendliness.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform all essential physical aspects of the position, including standing, sitting, running, walking, jumping, squatting, bending, and reaching, as well as pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
