About the Role
The Senior Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role in the assessment, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of information management and technology solutions across Nova Scotia Health Authority and its partners. This position requires collaboration with key clinical and business stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in complex, cross-functional business application solutions including SAP and other workforce management systems.
- Coordinate the management of transport and release planning schedules.
- Support the People Services team by providing functional enhancements, troubleshooting incidents, and offering business process consulting.
- Gather and document business and technical requirements.
- Conduct system integration and user acceptance testing.
- Ensure IT systems are maintained to support the effective delivery of information.
- Build and maintain relationships with clinical and business stakeholders to identify appropriate IT solutions.
- Interpret business needs and recommend optimal application solutions.
- Utilize data modeling techniques to meet integration and performance standards.
- Collaborate with team members, vendors, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Analyze diverse data requests from various platforms.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Business Analysis, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
- At least 2 years of experience in application programming, systems analysis, or business analysis.
- Experience with SAP Time & Payroll modules is preferred.
- Familiarity with SuccessFactors and UKG systems is an asset.
- Relevant certifications in SAP/SuccessFactors/UKG are advantageous.
- Experience with healthcare information systems is beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
