About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Remediation Specialist to join our national Remediation Program Management (RPM) team at WSP Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate field work and report writing for a portfolio of contaminated sites within the RPM team.
  • Work closely with project managers to prepare health and safety plans, emergency response plans, proposals, and cost estimates.
  • Schedule field staff and subcontractors, compile data for reports, and write reports including conclusions and recommendations.
  • Conduct occasional field work, including soil, groundwater, surface water, and vapour investigations, monitoring programs, and site remediation.
  • Train junior staff in environmental practices, including Phase I and II ESAs, drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, and remediation.
  • Collaborate across the national RPM team and WSP Canada.
Requirements
  • University degree or above in environmental science, engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in contaminated site assessment.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience in an engineering consulting environment.
  • Previous experience with soil and groundwater sampling.
  • Analytical mind with strong business acumen and financial management experience.
  • P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation is preferred.
