Role Overview

As a CIS Oracle Cerner Healthcare Consultant, your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the implementation, enhancement, and support of Oracle Cerner systems. You will collaborate with healthcare organizations to refine their processes, educate users, and ensure the systems align with their operational needs. This position accommodates various expertise levels, from entry-level to senior roles, each with distinct responsibilities and qualifications. While this role is primarily remote, occasional travel may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementation & Configuration:
  • Assist or lead the deployment and setup of Oracle Cerner systems.
  • Develop and oversee project schedules, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Conduct thorough system evaluations and offer strategic recommendations.
  • Training & Support:
  • Facilitate user training sessions to promote system adoption.
  • Provide ongoing assistance and troubleshooting for users.
  • Document system specifications and configurations.
  • Workflow Analysis & Optimization:
  • Engage in or lead workflow analysis and design discussions.
  • Design and enhance intricate workflows and system setups.
  • Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Conduct testing and validation of system functionalities.
  • Perform advanced data analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Provide expert insights based on comprehensive analysis.
  • Stakeholder Management & Leadership:
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • Mentor and guide junior consultants and staff.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, information technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with Oracle Cerner Systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in EMR implementation support.
  • Strong knowledge of EMR systems.
  • Proficiency in clinical workflow analysis and system configuration.
  • Ability to deliver technology-focused training in clinical settings.
  • Project management capabilities and adeptness in resolving complex issues.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Experience in clinical or hospital environments is advantageous.
