Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Activity Leader to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Vancouver. As an Activity Leader, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and inclusive environment for children of all abilities to participate and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively with a staff team to provide individualized support and strategies for children with diverse needs.
  • Provide enhanced ratio support to ensure all children have a positive experience.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of care plans to support children's growth and development.
  • Role model positive behaviors and help children navigate conflicts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to build a community environment that promotes inclusion and respect.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Experience working with children 5-12 with additional support needs.
  • Emergency First Aid and CRC - C & AED certification.
  • 20 hours of training in Child Development, Child Guidance, and/or Nutrition an asset.
