Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist II to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, preparing patients for examination, and operating nuclear medicine equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with departmental policies
  • Prepare patients for examination, including preparing radiopharmaceuticals and administering them as required
  • Operate nuclear medicine equipment, including cameras and scanners
  • Monitor patients during procedures and ensure their safety and comfort
  • Perform routine quality control tests on imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program recognized by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
  • Current certification with CAMRT and eligible for membership with CAMRT and CAMRT-BC
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare staff
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to integrate and evaluate pertinent data to make informed decisions
