Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager of Specialized Lending to join our Risk Management Unit at NBC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating risks and irregularities, creating turnaround strategies, and improving overall credit quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Minimize loan losses, legal risks, and reputational risk for NBC
- Restore the profitability of accounts in financial difficulty
- Ensure rigorous account monitoring to maintain portfolio quality
- Participate in committees that require a high level of expertise and represent NBC with various organizations, agencies, and influential stakeholders in the field
- Minimize the volume of loans transferred to the impaired loan category
- Negotiate agreement conditions with various stakeholders
- Support and advise the business lines and credit sector when managing special cases and/or special projects
About the Team:
You will be part of a team of 23 colleagues, reporting to the Vice-President, Special Loans. Our team is known for its advanced knowledge on credit structuring and the legal environment, as well as its rigor and experience that contribute year over year to NBC's objectives.
Requirements:
- University diploma and 10 years of relevant experience
- Solid knowledge of commercial loans and syndicated transactions
- Experience with bankruptcy and insolvency
- Experience with capital markets files, an asset
- Proven leadership when dealing with various stakeholders (other lenders, investors, and creditors, etc.)
