Position Overview:

The Maintenance Planner (MP) reports to the Senior Maintenance Planner and is primarily responsible for managing all maintenance technical documentation. This includes data entry, maintaining comprehensive records, and developing the short-term maintenance strategy for maintenance teams engaged in both on-aircraft and off-aircraft tasks.

Short-term maintenance encompasses all required actions for specific aircraft serial numbers due within a three-month window, which includes:

  • All components outlined in the Periodic Inspection Manual (PIM).
  • Any known unscheduled tasks or deviations.
  • Compliance with Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and Special Inspections.
  • Modifications, upgrades, and sampling elements of inspection programs for aircraft, engines, and accessories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all technical records and publications.
  • Ensure completion and auditing of aircraft maintenance documentation within the electronic record-keeping system (ERKS).
  • Audit data entry for all Work Order related information and documentation.
  • Update and verify the aircraft Servicing Set and Log Set.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for all records and publications.
  • Keep the aircraft weighing and balance records current.
  • Manage and update the Technical Data Repository (TDR).
  • Generate scheduled and unscheduled reports, providing maintenance planning guidance and forecasts for daily operations and PIM/Heavy Maintenance.
  • Support the Site Manager with administrative tasks.
  • Conduct elementary and servicing tasks for the CH 149 as trained and authorized.
  • Travel as necessary to support maintenance, ferry, and deployed operations.
  • Work at various operational bases and support remote site operations, mobile repair teams, and ferry flights.
  • Utilize office equipment effectively.
  • Work shifts as required.
  • Provide on-the-job training to fellow employees, including ERKS training.
  • Participate in training for professional development and certification.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris and ensuring cleanliness in hangar, shop, stores, and office areas.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and directives.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance control.
  • In-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance planning and documentation.
  • Familiarity with aircraft modification programs and compliance reporting procedures.
  • Proficient in Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS) processes.
  • Understanding of Quality Systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including maintenance manuals, work packages, drawings, blueprints, and Standard Plant Procedures.
  • Competence in standard computer applications and specialized software as necessary.
  • Valid driver's license for operating company vehicles and tow tractors.
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Secret Level II Security Clearance, and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
