About the Role

Adecco is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineering Consultant to join our team. This is a 9-month contract with the possibility of extension into a 24-month contract with our government entity client located in Ottawa, ON.

The successful candidate must hold a valid Reliability Security Clearance or be eligible for one.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Time Standards Report: Create a comprehensive report outlining the process and new time standards for delivery to panel receptacles, adhering to engineering principles and industry best practices.
  • Industry Expertise: Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of current industry best practices to ensure the standards developed are in line with the highest benchmarks.
  • Presentation and Expert Witness: Present the completed report to leadership, including methodology, findings, resulting time standards, and answering technical questions.
  • Technical Expertise: Act as a Technical Expert Witness representing the organization, providing expert testimony based on a deep understanding of the methodology and resulting time standards.
  • Defense of Results: Defend the results against scrutiny from legal counsel and expert witnesses.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Engineering.
  • Post-graduate degree: Post-graduate degree in Engineering, with a focus on work measurement is a preferred asset.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience with a strong focus on developing and implementing work methods and standards, with proven expertise in the application of time and motion study techniques and process optimization.
  • Leadership Experience: At least five (5) years of experience in a leadership role, managing and guiding engineering teams.
  • Technical Skills: Certified in Mini Most and Basic MOST predetermined systems, with a proven track record of managing engineering projects from end to end, managing timelines, and resources effectively.
  • Industry Knowledge: Background in logistics and supply chain management, with a focus on efficiency and productivity improvements.
  • Legal Experience: Experience in legal or arbitration proceedings where the outcome was defended under scrutiny.
  • Training and Development: Experience in instructing and training others in PMTS methodologies, experience in delivering training programs, workshops.
  • Certifications: Any memberships or accreditations related to Engineering or Work Methods and Standards, additional certifications related to Lean Six Sigma, Project Management (PMP), or other relevant areas.
