Position Overview

This role is pivotal in connecting our workforce with essential benefits and pension services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage the employee life cycle while adhering to hospital policies and legislative requirements.
  • Offer expert guidance to staff and management regarding benefits administration, leave of absence policies, and retirement options.
  • Evaluate and process claims for prior experience, ensuring appropriate salary adjustments.
  • Oversee the integrity of HRIS data and conduct regular system audits.
  • Administer employee perks programs and support various HR initiatives.

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Director of Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards & People Analytics.

Qualifications:

  • A college diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Human Resources within a unionized setting.
  • Proven experience in administering benefits and pension plans.
  • Familiarity with payroll processes and CRA guidelines is an asset.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of relevant employment legislation and privacy acts.
