Position Overview

As a leading institution, we are seeking a Full-Time Human Resources Specialist to enhance our Total Rewards team. This role is pivotal in connecting our workforce with essential benefits and pension services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage the employee life cycle while adhering to hospital policies and legislative requirements.
- Offer expert guidance to staff and management regarding benefits administration, leave of absence policies, and retirement options.
- Evaluate and process claims for prior experience, ensuring appropriate salary adjustments.
- Oversee the integrity of HRIS data and conduct regular system audits.
- Administer employee perks programs and support various HR initiatives.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Director of Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards & People Analytics.
Qualifications:
- A college diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
- A minimum of two years of experience in Human Resources within a unionized setting.
- Proven experience in administering benefits and pension plans.
- Familiarity with payroll processes and CRA guidelines is an asset.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Knowledge of relevant employment legislation and privacy acts.
