Meat Department Assistant

At Metro Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Meat Department Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Meat Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, price, stock, rotate, and merchandise products to ensure optimal display and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure the Meat Department is ready for business at all times, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Implement and adhere to our Customer Service Policy, providing exceptional service to our customers.
- Adhere to Company policies and procedures, as well as government regulations concerning health & safety, sanitation, security, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, supporting the Meat Manager in directing activities pertaining to department staff, including hiring, coaching, and training.
Requirements:
- Meat experience with excellent product knowledge and rotation and merchandising experience.
- Superior customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of standing for prolonged periods, bending, twisting, and turning, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Available to work days, evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays, as per the C.B.A.
