Meat Department Assistant

**Job Summary**
At Metro, we are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Meat Department team as an Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality products are available to our customers.
**Responsibilities**
- Receive, price, stock, rotate, and merchandise products to ensure a visually appealing and well-stocked department.
- Ensure the department is ready for business at all times, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Implement and adhere to our Customer Service Policy, providing a positive and welcoming experience for all customers.
- Adhere to Company policies and procedures, as well as government regulations concerning health & safety, sanitation, security, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, including supporting the Meat Manager and directing activities pertaining to department staff.
- Support the Meat Manager in ensuring department standards are met, and contribute to overall store operations, including store opening and closing.
**Requirements**
- Meat experience with excellent product knowledge and rotation and merchandising experience.
- Superior customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, bend, twist, and turn, and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Availability to work days, evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays, as per the C.B.A.
