As a Senior Manager of Pharmaceutical Partnerships, you will be responsible for overseeing and nurturing relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, with a primary focus on negotiating Product Listing Agreements (PLAs).
Key Responsibilities- Market Monitoring: Stay informed about current market dynamics and external factors affecting pharmaceutical reimbursement, including industry trends and public policy.
- PLA Negotiation: Lead the negotiation process for PLAs with pharmaceutical manufacturers, which includes developing negotiation strategies, managing the negotiation phase, and finalizing contracts for specific drug therapies.
- Carrier Alignment: Understand and align with carrier strategies to ensure effective delivery of PLAs across provincial regulatory frameworks.
- Legal Coordination: Oversee the legal and business review of negotiated documents, addressing contract interpretation queries related to rebate agreements, and providing support for audit and invoicing inquiries. Proficiency in drafting and reviewing binding legal agreements is essential.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical market access, pharmacy, health insurance, or benefits management.
- A University Degree in Pharmacy, Business, Science, or a related field is preferred; a clinical background is considered a significant advantage.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is a strong asset.
- Expertise in market access, benefits/insurance industry, value proposition development, and drug reimbursement processes within both public and private payer environments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of the Canadian pharmaceutical landscape, including Pharmacy Benefit Management and Provincial Formularies and Regulations.
- Established relationships with pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers are considered a valuable asset.
