Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Technical Program Manager to enhance our Core Product Experience team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development and implementation of cutting-edge features that elevate the user experience in video streaming. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in program management, with a strong focus on improving consumer interactions with our products.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Managing multiple technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals.
  • Developing and overseeing comprehensive program plans for significant projects, facilitating swift adaptation to changes.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to guarantee timely delivery of project dependencies.
  • Offering technical architecture guidance and support to product and engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Partnering with Product Managers to create and maintain efficient backlogs.
  • Maintaining open lines of communication with product management, engineering teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Providing regular updates on program status to various stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration towards shared objectives.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A strong technical background, ideally as a former software engineer, with the ability to engage in technical discussions and comprehend complex requirements.
  • 8+ years of experience in successful technology program management, demonstrating consistent delivery of software on time.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects across various stages and stakeholder groups.
  • Expertise in anticipating and mitigating risks that could impact project delivery.
  • Strong alignment of team deliverables with broader organizational goals.
  • Experience in leading teams towards positive outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on keeping stakeholders informed.
  • A global perspective, with experience working across different time zones and cultures.
  • A solid understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and CI/CD.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like JIRA and Confluence.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following skills and experiences would be advantageous:

  • Experience with Direct-To-Consumer streaming applications.
  • Experience managing remote or distributed teams.
  • Certifications in program management or agile methodologies (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master).
