Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Technical Program Manager to enhance our Core Product Experience team. In this role, you will oversee the development and implementation of innovative features that elevate the user experience in video streaming. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex challenges and prioritize effectively.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Technical Program Manager, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Managing multiple technology initiatives to ensure alignment with overarching business goals.
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive program plans for significant projects, guiding teams through transitions and changes.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of interdependencies.
- Offering technical architecture insights and support to product and engineering teams throughout project lifecycles.
- Partnering with Product Managers to create and refine efficient backlogs.
- Ensuring transparent communication with product management, engineering teams, and other stakeholders.
- Providing regular updates on program status to various stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- Coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration towards shared objectives.
Qualifications
To excel in this position, you will need:
- A strong technical background, ideally as a former software engineer, enabling you to engage in technical discussions and comprehend complex requirements.
- Over 8 years of experience in technology program management, demonstrating successful delivery across all project phases.
- The ability to manage multiple projects across various stages and stakeholder groups, utilizing sound judgment.
- Proficiency in identifying potential issues and risks proactively, and effectively managing their impact on project delivery.
- Capability to align team deliverables with broader organizational goals and drive impactful process improvements.
- Strong leadership skills to influence teams towards positive outcomes, even without direct management authority.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on keeping stakeholders informed and engaged.
- Experience working in a global environment, appreciating cultural differences and delivering services on a worldwide scale.
- A solid understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Smartsheet.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following skills and experiences would be advantageous:
- Experience with Direct-To-Consumer streaming platforms.
- Background in managing remote or distributed teams.
- Certifications in program management or agile methodologies (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master).
