About the Role

Mega City Rental Supplies Inc is seeking a skilled Machine Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and maintain mechanical equipment, including stationary industrial machinery
  • Coach and instruct apprentices in mechanical systems and equipment maintenance
  • Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipment
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Repair or replace defective machinery parts, and perform routine maintenance work on equipment
  • Supervise other workers and estimate costs and materials for maintenance projects
  • Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and install machinery and equipment
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work at heights, in noisy environments, and with confined spaces
  • Physically demanding work, requiring attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • MS Office skills and experience with automated and robotic systems, conveyor systems, electrical and electronic controls, and other industrial equipment
