Teaching Opportunity in Practical Nursing

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Practical Nursing Instructor. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of nursing professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver engaging curriculum to students in a classroom, laboratory, or shop setting.
  • Modify and develop course objectives, course outlines, and evaluation procedures to ensure student success.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, including evaluation and attendance records.
  • Identify, prepare, and organize course materials and learning resources for effective course delivery.
  • Share your passion and knowledge of the nursing profession with students, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to classroom management, student evaluation, academic advising, and related administrative duties.
  • Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements, including the role of the CLPNM, Practical Nurse entry-level competencies, and scope of practice.
Requirements:
  • Relevant post-secondary nursing education and significant industry experience in acute care.
  • Teaching experience in an adult environment is highly desirable, along with experience using Moodle.
  • Appropriate nursing credential and relevant post-secondary education.
  • Registration with CRNM, CRPNM, or CLPNM, and relevant teaching experience.
  • Solid understanding of program and curriculum development, Indigenization, and decolonization of curriculum.
  • Well-developed technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Word.
  • Highly developed communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of the Practical Nursing team.
