About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mine Technical Services Superintendent to join our team at Newmont Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team of mine technical and geological staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for mine operations, ensuring safe and efficient production.
  • Manage production geology and mine engineering activities, including short-term, mid-term, and long-term planning.
  • Lead a team of mine engineers and geologists, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with corporate teams to develop annual mine budgets and contribute to long-term planning initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards, and maintain a strong focus on safety and environmental stewardship.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
  • 10-15 years of experience in mine engineering, mine operations, and/or mine geology, preferably in underground mining environments.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience, with exposure to senior supervisory roles and duties.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mine planning, geology, and engineering principles.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Good financial knowledge and skills, with experience in budgeting and cost control.
