Job Title: Sushi Preparer

Join EDOKKO JAPANESE FOOD as a skilled Sushi Preparer and contribute to our team's success in delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality sushi dishes that meet our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
  • Scour pots and pans
  • Package take-out food
  • Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
  • Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
  • Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Requirements:
  • Safe Food Handling certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
