Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, including sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and food safety.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate.
  • Language: English.
Work Environment

Our kitchen is a fast-paced environment with a physically demanding workload. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure to meet the demands of a busy restaurant.
