Compass Access Solutions Ltd. is a privately held organization specializing in innovative matting solutions for the Canadian energy and infrastructure sectors. We are in search of a seasoned Senior Financial Manager who will oversee the strategic planning, execution, management, and oversight of all financial operations.

Reporting directly to the President, the ideal candidate will ensure the integrity of financial transitions and reporting while collaborating with Senior Managers to direct financial strategies and implement key business decisions. This pivotal leadership position demands exceptional business insight, communication capabilities, and a strong grasp of performance metrics through financial analysis.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all facets of financial accounting, including accounts receivable, payroll, and account reconciliations.
  • Evaluate, advise, develop, and enforce internal controls to protect financial transactions and assets.
  • Monitor and manage cash flows to fulfill obligations and enhance return on investment.
  • Collaborate with Senior Managers to finalize capital requests and financial budgets for their divisions, utilizing historical data as needed.
  • Analyze, report, and leverage key performance indicators to drive business enhancements.
  • Engage in the development of models for tender and bidding processes.
  • Conduct banking transactions, including deposits and payments.
  • Prepare corporate tax returns, financial statements, analyses, and reports.
  • Manage payroll processes and ensure tax compliance, including GST and payroll remittance filings.
  • Generate monthly, annual, and various other financial statements and reports to inform decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant standards, regulations, and internal control systems.
  • Provide general oversight and manage rental fleet inventory based on operational data.
  • Identify efficiencies and opportunities for cost savings throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant) are mandatory.
  • Proficient in analyzing financial statements, interpreting KPIs, and generating forecasts and annual budgets.
  • Outstanding leadership, presentation, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork abilities.
  • A strong desire to drive change and contribute positively to the organization.
  • Experience with accounting software; familiarity with Business Central is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.
  • Commitment to following company policies and procedures while adhering to established safety standards.
